The position will work with clients, client service teams and/or internal GMR teams to provide support for a variety of consumer promotions such as sweepstakes, contests, offers, and other promotional programs.   WHAT YOU’LL DO // - Work in a support role for the Promotions team to execute administrative tasks - Engage directly with clients to execute basic sweepstakes promotions from start to finish, including drafting program budgets and rules from templates, obtaining approvals, and managing client communication for all aspects of these sweepstakes.   WHY YOU'LL LOVE THIS JOB // The Front-End Developer works directly with the digital team designers and programmers, assisting in any development-based duties.  As a key contributor towards the developmental and functional success of client campaigns, the Front-End Developer participates in all team meetings that involve planning, executing, and strategizing for development work.       YOUR IMPACT // - Slice PSDs and convert them to HTML and CSS, using modern web standards and clean code. - Test our sites across browsers and troubleshoot site presentation. - Providing accurate timing estimates on work. - Modify templates and tweak existing sites. - Identify internal projects to help our team run more efficiently. - Contributing to documentation (instructional, pitch and technical specification). - Train other non-technical staff particularly designers. - Contributing to the company development standards. - Creating technical solutions for clients and providing innovative new ideas to solutions. - Maintaining a high awareness of industry issues and trends, particularly in regard to accessibility, usability, and emerging technologies, and keep team members informed as appropriate, with a view to incorporating these in future projects and staying ahead of the market and position yourself and the company as a digital specialist. - Constantly seeking to develop yourself by learning new technologies. WHAT WE NEED // - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Systems or equivalent experience - 2-4 years experience as front end developer - Excellent HTML, XHTML, CSS programming skills - Coding valid XHTML and CSS mark-up - Developing cross-browser and cross-platform compatible solutions - Exceptional JavaScript programming skills - Experience with JQuery - Knowledge of working with JavaScript frameworks to create rich interactive content - Experience integrating with server-side code to produce dynamic pages - Excitement about emerging web technologies such as HTML5 and CSS3 - Good understanding of Web Accessibility - Experience working with version control systems such as Team Foundation - Knowledge of HTML Email best practice desirable - Experience creating templates in a CMS like, WordPress, Drupal, etc. - Innate creative sensibilities with a high degree of sensitivity to design nuance - Familiarity with Photoshop - Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment - A desire to learn more about creative and web technologies
