    GMR Marketing currently supports Comcast with a variety of marketing efforts including; Corporate Sponsorship Strategy & Activation, University Marketing, Business Services, Gaming Strategy & Activation, Sports Sponsorship Creative, Olympic Strategy & Activation and NASCAR Strategy & Activation. This position would be on the NASCAR Activation team.

     

    Reporting to the Account Director, the primary responsibilities of this position are to support Client’s motorsports marketing program; specifically managing the mobile marketing tour, supporting the at-track activation, as well as day-to-day management and execution of various projects surrounding a major sports sponsorship program. Position will be based at GMR Headquarters in Milwaukee, WI.

     

    WHAT YOU'LL DO //

    • Lead and manage a mobile marketing tour, primarily appearing at NASCAR tracks, but also with supplemental dates at other locations.
    • Work with internal GMR teams including creative, production and fleet, as well as external vendors on mobile tour program to design, build and refresh the tour for Comcast, known as the Xfinity Zone
    • Coordinate event site logistics prior to the event and manage execution of events on site
    • Manage tour staff hours, travel and other field staff needs, as well as local event staff scheduling and on-site job performance
    • Develop pre-event key information documents for client, vendors, team members and staff
    • Create and maintain program status reports, event manuals, reporting metrics and program recaps, looking for ways to continue and improving on the type, quality and accuracy of the data provided
    • Oversee warehouse orders, shipping of event material needs and maintenance of inventory lists for client
    • Lead weekly post-event calls with sales team, clients and agency staff to summarize last weeks’ results and performance and recommend improvements and best practices that can be applied to future activations
    • Monitor project expenses, with constant tracking and frequent reporting, to guarantee adherence to established budget parameters
    • Managing program procurement needs, such as recommending and maintaining relevant premiums and apparel
    • Support on planning and executing sponsorship events in race markets
    • Support fellow Account Executives and other client team staff to plan and execute events
    • Create and manage a Xfinity Zone pitch deck, that highlights the activation, experiences, potential creative changes and costs associated with utilizing the Xfinity Zone at one-off events
    • Facilitate the expansion of Xfinity Zone usage by working with Corporate, Division and Regional Comcast clients to unearth additional opportunities to utilize the experience, sell-in the concept and coordinate the activation
    • Maintain daily communication with clients, vendors, and members of account team
    • Understand experiential and competitive activation trends at-track, as well as outside, technological and experiential advances that we could adopt to enhance our positioning
    • Maintain a thorough working knowledge of the motorsports industry including the league, tracks and drivers
    • Other duties as assigned by the account leadership team

     

    WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR //

    • Bachelor’s degree; with sports, marketing, communications or related degree preferred 
    • 3 to 6 years of relevant work experience, agency and/or sports experience preferred
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, experience in client management preferred
    • Willingness to travel for 14+ events and/or over weekends/holidays
    • Experience required in demonstrating executional excellence, including live event programming
    • Demonstrated problem solving skills, ability to independently perform day-to-day program management and ability to think on your feet and implement solutions quickly
    • Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Excellent communications skills, written and oral
    • Ability to work independently and on a team, succeed in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment
