    WHY YOU’LL LOVE THIS JOB //

    Reporting to the Senior Vice President, the Account Director will have the main responsibility of managing a multi-faceted sponsorship program for a business insurance client within Major League Baseball.  You’ll have the opportunity to activate programming at every touch point from jewel events such as the All-Star Game and World Series to team deals and player ambassador programs.


    WHAT YOU’LL DO //

    • Lead our client’s programs from development to partnership management to execution, and manage the client’s partnership with Major League Baseball while overseeing 10-15 team partners
    • You will lead a team of 2-3 direct reports in the creation and execution of a flawless program for our client and provide career development guidance
    • Oversee on-site activations including exclusive experiences, clinics, hospitality, etc. for VIP clients and guests
    • Responsible for developing and managing the program budgets, assets and contracts
    • You will have daily contact with the client and sponsorship marketing partners, serving as a main point-of-contact to both internal and external partners
    • Create and deliver MLB marketing strategy, problem solving for challenges and delivering solutions, measurement and recapping, event planning, finding best practices across multiple projects, among others
    • Negotiate contracts on behalf of our client with MLB, clubs, talent, venues/hotels, etc.
    • You will continuously look for ways of adding value to the team and the client


    WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR //

     

    • Bachelor’s Degree with 7-9+ years of industry experience
    • Experience in event management and sports marketing is highly desirable
    • Understanding of the sports landscape (baseball and/or league & team experiences are a plus)
    • Ability to successfully build client relationships and manage multiple client contacts and projects
    • Proven leader with very high initiative and work ethic
    • Willingness to work on days and times outside the normal work week when needed
    • Strong organization and time management skills
    • Ability to work with a group of highly motivated individuals, as well as be individually proactive
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong presentation skills to varied audiences
    • Ability to develop and express creative ideas
    • Ability to travel as needed
