    Under the direction of the Payroll Director, the Payroll Specialist ensures the accurate and timely processing, printing and distribution of payroll checks, completes and files all required payroll reports and performs all accounting procedures related to payroll for US, in accordance with company policies and procedures.

     

    YOUR IMPACT //

    • Process assigned payrolls within ADP (Enterprise) in a timely manner
    • Perform accounting tasks within the specified deadlines, including but not limited to preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations and coding of project billing
    • Set up taxes, garnishments and deductions within the ADP system
    • Administer electronic timesheets and accurately post labor distribution
    • Audit all payroll transactions and comply with W2 requirements for each employee
    • Provide timesheet training and guidance for employees and managers
    • Collect data, perform calculations, investigate and resolve discrepancies; Update payroll master file, and transmit data while maintaining confidentiality
    • Maintain and document all payroll records
    • Detect and process issues related to uncollected payroll
    • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues or concerns
    • Process manual checks when necessary.
    • Other duties as assigned.

     

    YOUR EXPERIENCE //

    • Bachelor’s Degree plus a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience within a payroll department
    • Knowledge of payroll principles, practices and regulations
    • Experience using ADP or other third party payroll software
    • Ability to prepare reports, business correspondence, and policies/procedures
    • Excellent customer service skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks while meeting deadlines
    • Demonstrate flexibility and positivity, while enthusiastically embracing change and new challenges
    • Ability to work successfully in a team-oriented environment, yet also accomplishing responsibilities independently with little supervision
    • Maintain confidentiality of salary information and employee records
    • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, vendors, and other employees of the organization
    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
    • Ability to efficiently problem solve and troubleshoot in complex scenarios
    • Excellent organization and mathematical skills
