    Based at GMR Headquarters in Milwaukee, this position will be responsible for driving a diverse portfolio of sponsorship marketing initiatives on our award-winning Client Consulting and Services team.  The Account Director position will have the opportunity to make their mark by driving and developing strategy for current and future sports, entertainment, and sponsorship marketing initiatives, leading work with existing clients, new business pitches and supporting teams across the agency with the best practices, thought leadership and business driving ideas.  This position will report to the SVP, Client Consulting + Services


    • Exceed client expectations in successfully addressing their business needs and objectives with strategic sponsorship and experiential marketing solutions
    • Lead and inspire cross-functional teams in all facets of bringing client solutions to life – from developing insight-led sponsorship strategies to custom brand-centric activation and measurement plans
    • Develop personnel (direct reports and others) in professional growth, quality delivery/execution of work, and overall impact on client and agency business
    • Manage and negotiate successful partnerships, including business deals, team/league relationships and sponsorships with clients, properties and events
    • Drive and contribute to the generation of new ideas and thought leadership to fuel business growth with new and organic clients
    • Effectively manage client scope of services including personnel and budgets
    • Support agency growth initiatives including presentation development, new business prospecting/pitches, implementation of best practices, sharing industry insights across departments and geographies, and identifying ways to continuously improve 


    • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of seven (7) to nine (9) years of experience in related agency, brand or property fields
    • Strong business acumen and brand marketing application (b-to-c and b-to-b)  of sponsorship & experiential marketing strategy
    • Ability to develop and manage high-level client and property relationships
    • Proven ability to mentor, teach and lead a group of highly motivated individuals, as well as be individually proactive
    • Deep understanding of the sports, entertainment and lifestyle marketing industry
    • Proven ability to evaluate, negotiate and activate sponsorships and marketing alliances
    • Exceptional presence – including, but not limited to presentation skills, networking, written and verbal communication
    • Strong leadership, organization, and time management skills
    • Command of Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, & Word
