GMR partners with Comcast in support of its marketing efforts across Sports Marketing, Sports Creative and University Marketing. This position is a key role on the Comcast Marketing Communications Team that will work on both Sports and University marketing campaigns as well as other projects assigned.


The selected candidate will be responsible for managing and driving the execution of acquisition advertising campaigns for XFINITY Sports and University Marketing. Reporting to the Director of Marketing Communications at Comcast, this position will be based at the Comcast headquarters in Philadelphia as a part of the Comcast Marketing Communications Acquisition team.


  • Develop and execute Sports and University campaigns, acting as a liason between partner agencies and respective client teams to deliver appropriate marketing materials.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the broader Marketing Communications team and sales channels on Sports & Univertisty strategy and insights to optimize all efforts and levels of work.
  • Review and provide feedback on all creative designs and messaging, including but not limited to 360 integrated marketing campaigns, website development, management and updates, XFINITY On Campus awareness programs, university activation and sales events, etc.
  • Ensure creative excellence across all campaign tactics including but not limited to broadcast, radio, print, social, digital, and experiential.
  • Manage projects and processes including budgets and timelines, legal reviews, creative approvals and individual creative assignments.
  • Work closely with the agency to ensure executional excellence against Divisional marketing plans.
  • Develop point-of-view documents on relevant topics as needed
  • Analyze sports and university-related creative campaigns from competitors
  • Collaboratively lead development and marketing efforts around our client’s new products and services as they relate to sports and university.
  • Help to secure assets and approvals from individual sports teams and programming partners on creative work.
  • Other duties assigned by the leadership team


  • Bachelors Degree required
  • 5-7 years of advertising experience, or directly related experience, preferably at an agency
  • Strong knowledge of Brand Marketing
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, clients, vendors, and agencies simultaneously both verbally and in writing
  • Strong organization, prioritization and time management skills with the ability to drive things forward
  • Excellent problem solving, negotiation and decision-making skills
  • General working knowledge and passion for sports
  • Experiential Marketing and/or Acquisition experience is a bonus
  • Ability to perform independently
  • Ability to travel (approx. 10%) for client meetings, presentations, creative production, etc.
