GMR Marketing is Comcast’s sponsorship agency of record.  A client since 2008, GMR currently supports Comcast with a variety of marketing efforts including: Sponsorship Strategy, Sports Creative, NASCAR, Olympics, eSports, Entertainment, University Marketing, Experiential Marketing, and Business Services.  This position would support Sponsorship Strategy.


Comcast is a global media and technology company with two primary businesses, Comcast Cable and NBCUniversal.  A Fortune 50 company in a highly competitive telecommunications industry, Comcast Cable is one of the nation's largest video, high-speed Internet and phone providers to residential customers under the XFINITY brand.  GMR’s Sponsorship Strategy team manages XFINITY’s portfolio of 80+ partnerships across professional (NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, MLS), collegiate (NCAA), and minor league sports, providing evaluations and recommendations for renewals and new partnership opportunities, negotiating terms and parameters for sponsorships, facilitating sponsorship contracts, and advancing Corporate sports & entertainment marketing initiatives.


The primary responsibilities of this position are to evaluate and provide recommendations and valuations for partnership opportunities, negotiate the terms and parameters for sports & entertainment programs, facilitate the construct of sponsorship contracts and to implement corporate sports & entertainment marketing initiatives.  This position is based at the GMR headquarters in New Berlin, WI.


  • You are a leader. You’ll serve as the primary point of contact for the Northeast Division of Comcast (including six regions) and key client executives in their efforts to advance XFINITY sports & entertainment marketing initiatives through sponsorship, creative, activation and digital/social platforms.
  • You are a trusted expert. You will assist clients with implementation of the sponsorship review process and provide analysis of the sponsorship landscape (renewal timelines, available opportunities, etc.).
  • You are analytical.  You will produce quantitative evaluations of sports & entertainment sponsorship proposals and written POVs on new and existing partnerships.
  • You are strategic.  You will develop and implement the Corporate partnership marketing plan with each Region and proactively generate activation ideas throughout the year based on seasonal priorities.
  • You are a project manager.  You will maintain and assist with administrative aspects such as contracts, renewal trackers, and meeting documentation (agendas and notes).
  • You are innovative. You will introduce new ideas, original and creative thinking to Comcast’s sponsorship strategy.
  • You are collaborative.  You will work closely with the Sports Creative account team to manage client requests and fulfill contractual sponsorship creative according to specifications and time and budget parameters.
  • You are passionate about the business of sports.  You will share industry news and best practices related to Comcast’s sponsorships.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Sports Management, or related field
  • 3-5 years of related experience in sports/entertainment marketing or sponsorship; team or agency experience is a plus
  • Understanding of negotiation tactics, sponsorships, and client services
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills; ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines; detail-oriented mindset
