Overview

GMR assists its client with their regional marketing efforts. This individual will fill a crucial role of developing, executing, and recapping programs and events within the region, as well as maintaining client relationships and managing daily account activities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and present program concepts to client.
  • Execution and daily management of programs and deadlines, ensuring quality work is provided.
  • Maintain daily communication with clients, vendors and members of account teams.
  • Facilitate communication and activities between GMR, client, properties, teams, organizations and agencies.
  • Manage field team and successful execution of client events throughout the region.
  • Prepare account reports for senior management.
  • Attend client project meetings.
  • Maintain a thorough working knowledge of the sports and entertainment industries.
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of the corporate public relations realm as well as the sports public relations realm.
  • Position client in a positive light in all forms of media.
  • Provide client and upper management with updated public relations reports.
  • Provide senior management with feedback and recommendations for sports and entertainment programs.
  • Know, understand, and adhere to all GMR company policies and procedures.
  • When applicable, travel for the purpose of planning and implementation of programs.
  • Maintain attendance and punctuality for all pertinent business meetings and functions.
  • Ability to work nights and weekends as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years promotional/marketing experience.
  • Experience working in the sports industry
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to meet and deal effectively with clients.
  • Computer and Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Excellent time-management, organizational, and supervisory skills.
  • Excellent composition skills; oral and written.
  • Experience with public speaking.
  • Experience with social media platforms.
  • Ability to service multiple clients and various assignments simultaneously.
  • Ability to work well with a team and independently.
